THIS
IS A VERY SHORT TUTORIAL TO GET YOU GOING
If
you have Windows 95, 98, or later, look in right top corner for the (minus,
square, or X). The square(s) makes the screen smaller or larger;
the X erases this screen. Click on the SQUARE(s) a couple of times
and watch what happens (In windows
3.1, the UP & DOWN ARROWS will change the size of the Window).
Practice moving the MOUSE
(I) or (ARROW) around the screen with the MOUSE. If the "I" turns to an
ARROW or HAND when moving it on an object
or
text
(that is usually in color and
underlined),
clicking the TOP LEFT MOUSE BUTTON will perform that command, usually taking
you to some other screen.
Move
the
I
or ARROW by moving the MOUSE to the BOTTOM RIGHT DOWN ARROW on the screen.
Start clicking the LEFT MOUSE (BUTTON). The screen should scroll
UP. The ARROW at the TOP of this BAR (upper right) will scroll
DOWN if you click the LEFT MOUSE BUTTON. If you hold down the LEFT
MOUSE BUTTON, scrolling is rapid. Practice doing this and keep scrolling
UP and DOWN to read all this page.
All text in the blocked tables
are clickable, if there is such a word. Home means to the TOP of
the first page. NEXT PAGE means it will
carry you to the following page. A RIGHT ARROW
GRAPHIC if clicked on will take you
to the NEXT PAGE. A LEFT
ARROW GRAPHIC will take you to the preceding page. Clicking on SEARCH
ENGINE will allow you to go to one of the
engines and search for whatever you wish.
If you
need to PRINT any page, just go to the upper left part of your screen and
look for FILE, click on File and look for Print. Clicking on Print
will print that page. If you have a separate PRINT button, click
that. Remember to turn on your printer.
Some
of the LINKS with this program are underlined or on blocks or buttons.
Click on them to go to that place. Just remember,
some
of them will take you to someplace outside of this program. If you
have traveled to another page by clicking on one of them but want to COME
BACK to where you clicked, look for the "BACK" on your Browser Bar and
click on it.
